endless summer...

When I was in my teens, my sisters, cousins and I used to spend summers at my Uncles place.  Him and his girlfriend, were so cool in all our eyes, we spent days on the beach, at night we would go beach hiking, sliding down sand dunes, and lie on the beach and look up at the stars.. They lived in this little beach town, in a run down shack of a house that was full of love and laughter.. We all camped out the back in tents, as there was no room in the house for us.. it was such fun.  Their house was filled pretty much like this pic, surfing/beach stuff, along with lots of old wares, usually bought from the local op shops (second hand stores).. this picture really does reflect my summers.. the mix of old & rustic with the freshness of the beach.. ♥
