cup day..

today is the Melbourne Cup.. a horse race that is on the first Tuesday of November, and for as long as i remember we have a public holiday.. a day off work for a Horse Race!! Have to love living in sports mad State in Australia!!!... so we place our bets.. get together with friends and watch the only horse race most of us only see in 12 months.. at least i get to relax until 2ish.. race isnt till 3ish!!

harsh light of day..

i am much more a night person than day... i love the comfort of a dark sky.. the stars lighting the way.. the day can be so harsh, confronting, so bright.. but the night's sky is beautiful.. the outline of clouds scattered against the black.. the moon in its current phase.. such a wonder to stare up in to.. get lost in all it offers before sleep comes and dreams are ready to for the night's adventure..
